“Legacy Saga”: Garmin presented smartwatches in honor ofStar Wars

Garmin has announced a series of Legacy Saga smartwatches in honor of the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX premiere in December. The company also presented a series of Vivofit jr 2 activity trackers for kids featuring Disney and Star Wars characters.

Dark and light sides

The watch is presented in two versions – Rey and Darth Vader in honor of the heroes of the films. They symbolize the dark and light sides, between which the user may choose.

The Rey version got a 40-mm case, a 1.1-inch display with a resolution of 218 × 218 pixels. The battery life time from one charge is up to 7 days in ordinary mode or up to 5 hours in GPS mode with music playback. The thickness of the watch is 12.7 mm and the weigh – 40 g. The strap in the Rey model is white: the user may choose between the leather and silicone ones. The watch also has the Jedi emblem and Rey’s quote: “Nothing is Impossible.”

The Darth Vader version, on the contrary, has a black strap with red accents (again leather or silicone). The model is 45 mm and has a 1.3-inch display with a resolution of 260 × 260 pixels, a thickness of 12.8 mm and a weight of 50.5 g. Autonomy – up to 8 days in normal mode and up to 6 hours in GPS mode with music. On the case of this model, there is the quote: “Rule the Galaxy”.

Specifications

In general, the set of functions for both models is the same. They can control music playback, display notifications from a smartphone, track heart rate, respiration, sleep patterns, stress levels, menstrual cycle, support various types of physical activity and more than 20 sports applications.

Price

Both models cost $399.99. They are not yet available, but sales should begin in 3-5 weeks.
